Frequently asked questions.
Do you work off of photos?
Yes! Photos are easiest to work from as long as they are in high resolution. I can only paint what I see. Please remember to send all photos in the highest resolution possible.
Can you combine multiple photos into one painting?
Sometimes! I’ll have to take a look at the photos first. As long as the photos are clear, are taken from a similar angle and have similar lighting, I can make it work! Please understand that this is one of the hardest tasks in fine art. It will cost more than a standard painting.
How long does it take to complete a painting?
Paintings can range from 1 day to 1 week to complete. Then it takes an additional 2 weeks for the painting to dry.
How far ahead should I order my painting?
I am generally booked 1 month out. If you allot for dry time and shipping time, you should order 2 months ahead
What do your paintings cost?
Many factors play into cost including materials, time and complexity. Price can range from $60 and up. The easiest way to find out is to ask by filling out the form on my custom page. There is no obligation by filling out the form!
I want to give a painting as a gift but don’t want to break the bank.
Small paintings on canvas board (frameables) in 5x7” or 8x10” would be under or close to $100. Small 11x14” pet portraits or botanicals would be around $120. There are affordable options for any budget!
Does my painting need to be framed?
95% of my paintings are made on stretched canvas. Stretched canvases don’t need to be framed, but can be if you prefer to! The other 5% are made on canvas boards. Canvas boards need to be framed if you’re planning on hanging it on the wall. Anything painted on a canvas board is described as so.
What information do I need to include in my custom painting inquiry?
You will need to briefly describe the painting you are wanting. If you have a size in mind, include that! If you have a budget, great! Include that as well. Once I respond, you can send me any photo that is relevant to your request. Don’t stress about this part. I’ll ask you any additional questions I have!
How can I pay for my artwork?
When purchasing in-stock paintings from the website, you can pay with Apple Pay, PayPal or with a Credit Card. When purchasing custom, you can pay with Venmo, PayPal, or with cash/check.
What does shipping cost for custom work?
I use USPS for all of my shipping. The cost of shipping is calculated at the USPS office. When possible, I like to deliver my artwork or have it picked up. When this is not possible, shipping costs will be added to your total.
